The little one’s diagnosis
On September 4th tele-satsang, Gayathriji from Boston shared her Nama Anubhava.
In the last week’s satsang, I participated and requested for a prayer for a friend of mine. She had just given birth to a baby boy. The baby boy was being diagnosed with a deadly skin disease right from birth – that which happens to one in a million kids and the little one is on painkillers all the time and that the little one had to survive with it through the rest of his life. I had requested prayers to our satsang that the detailed diagnosis should yield a negative result.
And indeed our Nama prayers are answered. The results turned negative and the disease was finally diagnosed as a common one, and curable.
Thanks to the Mahamantra and all the bhagavatas who chanted it with prayers that helped bring in divine grace of Krishna to the little one and hence, happiness in the face of the parents.
Prayers show their powers again
Ahead of the satsang on the 13th of March, one of our satsang members from California called in to request for the prayer for their three year old son who was suffering from high fever. The fever hadn’t subsided for 2 days in a row. So they were tensed.
The satsang members on the call sincerely chanted praying for the little one’s health.
The grace of the Guru and the power of the Mahamantra was yet again glorified, when on the subsequent week’s satsang, the satsang friend called in to thank everyone and let all know that very soon after the prayers, the fever subsided and the little one was doing well now!
Hail the Mahamantra! Glory to the Sadguru!
The marriage that was averted
It was Chaitanya Mahaprabhu’s Jayanthi that day and we had organized a satsang. When the satsang was just about to conclude, one of their friends’ requested for Nama chanting for their servant maid back in India who was facing some problems. Their maid’s daughter was supposed to be married off to a guy who didn’t possess good moral values and that the bride was totally not interested to get married to him but she didn’t have much say in this matter. When the Nama request came up, placing the request at the feet of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, all chanted for that girl.
What a surprise! The very next day, we were very glad to hear that the bride’s father had elevated this case to the local Panchayat and it was decided that the girl will not get married to that guy!

Nama spreads like fire!
I usually listen to Mahamantra audio in a subtle volume at his work place – right from morning to the end of the day. I have been doing this for quite some time. Recently, one of my colleague who sits beside me was fascinated by the beauty of the Mahamantra and requested if he could play it too! I happily shared the audio with him. Soon after yet other colleague also expressed his interest to play the Mahamantra on his computer! Now, about seven of us listen to the Mahamantra on our own computers at work!
True, isn’t it?

The Banyan tree shade
We had placed an advertisement to sell some of their home furniture. When the deal was finalized, we were waiting for the customer to come and pick up the stuff from our home. The woman came home to pay the money and said that the furniture would be picked up later that evening. As she entered our home, she told us that she could feel something very different in their house that was divine. We told her that we chant Divine Names regularly at home. She started talking about her woes and disclosed all the difficulties that she was currently facing and requested us to pray for her in that day’s satsang. We told the lady that they will pray to the Lord for her problems to get solved quickly.
Sri Sri Swamiji says that that when one does Nama Chanting, that place is verily filled with divinity. When a person always basks in shade, he will never feel the comfort in the shade nor its greatness. Likewise, we are all protected in the shade of a huge banyan tree which is our Guru Maharaj. It is only those who walk into a Nama Satsang from outside (akin to the scorching sun) that can feel the divinity of a Nama Satsang (shade).
Grace in ways one can’t imagine
We live in Orlando and visit a temple regularly. There is a Krishna deity in the temple to which we light a candle every week. One day we were shopping to buy a lamp shade for Lord Krishna’s deity. I was being helped by an employee of the shop and when she met me, she immediately asked me if Iwas a Hindu. When I replied yes, her face lit up with joy at the thought of seeing a Hindu.
She being a Dominican descent had some dreams for many years in which came a holy man with long beard meditating in the mountains and she was puzzled as to why she frequently dreamt about this and it seemed very real to her. And finally she found some books on Hinduism which made her start believing in re-incarnation and she realized that she was born in India in her previous birth. She related all this to me in less than five minutes. She was so ecstatic when she saw us and her joy knew no bounds.
I informed her about the weekly satsangs and she happily agreed to come. She in fact participated in their weekly satsang.
It was only last week that they were thinking of ways and means of taking the Nama and Guru’s Mahima to other communities and yes, it was immediately blessed and answered by our Guru Maharaj.

Bhagavan Ramana: Bhagavan’s culinary
When it comes to Tiruvannamalai Ramana Ashram, Bhagavan Ramana used to spend time in the kitchen helping others in cooking, as well as cooking Himself. One day Bhagawan prepared chutney for Idly. He asked Shri Gurram Subba Rao to taste it. After tasting it, Subba Rao mentioned that it is too salty and cannot be served to others as a side dish. Bhagawan smiled and stirred the whole chutney with his own fingers. He then asked him again to taste it. To Subba Rao’s surprisethe chutney had the right amount of salt. He could not understand what could have happened?
Bhagawan Ramana smiled at him and asked him where did the salt go?
Bhagavan Ramana: Kavyakanta Ganapati Muni
Kavya Kanta Ganapati Muni who had a great regard for Bhagavan and was in Tiruvannamalai for a long time. In later days, he moved to Nimpura, Kharagpur and spent his last days there. On one particular day, Bhagavan Ramana came to know that it was Kavyakanta Ganapati Muni’s last day and since morning Bhagavan neither partook of any food nor allowed anyone else to eat. At about 5.00 PM that day he at last told everyone that Ganapati Muni is no longer in this world. Right after that, the news came from Nimpura that Kavyakanta Ganapati Muni has attained Siddhi.
Bhagavan Ramana: What belongs to me?
Sambasiva Rao was Ramana Paati’s paternal uncle (father’s elder brother) who completely devoted his life to Bhagavan Ramana. Once there was a court case against Ramana Maharshi that he was accused owning a piece of land that actually belongs to Government. When he was asked to justify it, Ramana said that the land under contention does not belong to him, and that even his name Ramana did not belong to Him and hence there was no question of owning anything! The judge came from Madras to Tiruvannamalai to get Bhagavan’s opinion, and Bhagavan only repeated His stand! The judge requested Ramana that he should come and sign the court papers that this property was actually given to them as donation and that it does not belong to him. Ramana refused to come but upon insisting, he said that he can send Mr. Sambasiva Rao on his behalf to sign the court papers!
Later Niranjanananda, brother of Shri Bhagavan who was managing that place praised Shri Sambasiva Rao, that without him signing the papers they all would have been on streets.
The Divine Name and its Owner care for us
‘This is something concerning my work. We were executing a software project for a customer which happened to be the US government. As a part of the project we were supposed to fill in a few empty columns with data and send it across. There were 5 columns (fields) to fill in. But somehow, I had ignored the last one, and I just filled in four of them and sent it across. It was only later that I discovered I had missed out the last one. I did not make a big deal out of it, nevertheless, felt guilty for my oversight.
The project was executed. To my pleasant surprise, recently, the government announced that they no more required the fifth column data and they would not consider it for their use! When I heard this announcement from them, I was overjoyed! It seemed as if the announcement was very much tailor-made to cover up my flaw! And this happened even without my praying and requesting for it.
Such incidents may seem very trivial in our daily life. But it gives us more and more insight to the fact that the Divine Name and its Owner will automatically take care of us every single moment of our life.’
